Terms & Conditions

Rental Agreement is between Shaver Lake Cottages at the Point, and Guest(s) who rent our facility. This agreement will be in effect from the date of check-in until the date of check-out.

COMPANY POLICY:  Shaver Lake Cottages at the Point reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any given time. 

        I.            CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:  Check-in begins at 3:00 PM.  Keys are to be picked up by Guest(s) unless advanced arrangements have been made.  Check-out time is 11:00 AM.  After 11:00 AM Guest(s) agree they will be charged an additional night’s stay.    

      II.            KEY PICK-UP & RETURN: Keys are available at Shaver Lake Cottages located within the Shaver Lake Store.  If arriving after hours, please call the After Hours number (559) 930-3378 to arrange to pick up keys.  Key drop box is located next to the mail box on the South entrance side of the Store. 

    III.            SMOKING POLICYSmoking is prohibited in the Cottages and on the decks of the Cottages.  Any additional cost to remove smoke odor and/or damage due to smoking will be charged to the Guest(s). If the cost exceeds deposit amount, the additional cost will be charged to the card on file.  

    IV.            PET POLICY: The staff of Shaver Lake Cottage reserves the right to allow or prohibit any pet(s) from being on the premises. The following are breed restrictions.  Purebred or crossbred of any type of; Pit Bull – Type, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Husky – Type (including Siberian breeds), Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, or any Wolf-dog hybrid.  Any dog breed that is listed on the “dangerous dog” list provided by our insurances carrier is prohibited on Shaver Lake Cottage property.

a.        Service animals are allowed if they are certified as a Guide Dog, Signal Dog, or other type of Service Animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

b.       Only one medium dog or two small dogs allowed. Along with our cottage rates, an additional Pet Fee of $35.00 will be applied to the total reservation cost. Guest(s) who let any dog on the bed(s) or furniture will be charged an additional $100.00 Cleaning Fee.  Any damage or excessive cleaning due to pet(s) will be charged to Guest(s) account. All pets are required to be on a leash at all times when on Shaver Lake Cottage premise (this includes time spent on the porch of the cottages). Make – shift barricades DO NOT constitute as an adequate restrictive method.  

c.       All Pet Policies listed above are a zero-tolerance policy.

        I.            KITCHEN POLICY: (Only applies to cottages 3 &6.) All kitchen utensils, dishes, stove, oven, and microwave must be cleaned upon departure. If failure to comply, an additional $45.00 per hour cleaning fee will be charged from the security deposit. There is a minimum of a 2-hour charge.

      V.            DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT:  ALL reservations must be PAID IN FULL upon booking.  Shaver Lake Cottages require a $175.00 or for cottages 3 & 6 a $200 deposit at check in.  Deposit is fully refundable subsequent to departure providing there are no damages, policy violations, or the dispatch of authorities due to illegal activities. 

    VI.            CANCELLATION POLICY:  All cancellations must be done 5 days before the scheduled reservation.  There is a $35.00 cancellation fee.  Under 5 days’ notice full payment is forfeited.  All cancellations must be done by a WRITTEN NOTICE via Email.  Cancellations are to be sent to:  getaway@slcottages.com. To ensure that the cancellation was successful, a cancellation confirmation Email will be sent to the Guest’s Email on file. If a departure date changes to a date before original departure date, all cancellation policies apply.

  VII.            MISHAPS/WEATHER:  Guest(s) acknowledge there will be no discount/refunds due to inconveniences due to weather or road conditions.

VIII.            RIGHT OF ENTRY:  Shaver Lake Cottages at the Point has the right to enter your reserved room during the duration of your stay. The Owner will attempt to gain Guest’s permission prior to entry.  Other reasons for entry, such as repairs and alterations, will be communicated to the guest before entry. The guest may not unreasonably deny access to their reserved room. 

    IX.            PROPERTY RESTRICTIONS: Guest(s) shall not violate any criminal or civil law, ordinance or statute in the use and occupancy of the property.  Guest(s) shall keep the premises as clean and sanitary as conditions of the property permit, and shall not commit waste or nuisance, annoy, molest, disrupt or violate the privacy of another guest(s).  Violation of restrictions will result in immediate eviction and the forfeit of remaining rent.

      X.            DAMAGED LOST ITEMS POLICY:  ALL ITEMS AND DECORATIONS IN COTTAGES ARE LOGGED AND INVENTORIED BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY STAY.  Repairs and replacements for Items/decorations that are missing or damaged that exceed deposit after check-out will be charged to the Guest(s) credit card on file.

    XI.            INDEMNIFICATION:  Guest shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Owner from and against any claim, demand, cause of action, loss or liability (including attorney’s fees and expenses of litigation) for any property damage or personal injury on the Premises by any cause or arising out of conduct of Guest(s), their guests and invitees, except to the extent caused by Owner’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.  The provisions of this Article shall survive the termination of this Agreement with respect to any claims or liability accruing before such termination.

  XII.            Guest has read and acknowledged all terms and conditions enforced by Shaver Lake Cottages at the Point. By signing this document, you agree to follow all Terms and Conditions listed on the previous 2 pages of this contract.
